Partial Dentures

Missing teeth can have a negative impact on someone’s self-esteem. Additionally, missing teeth can significantly reduce the effectiveness of basic actions, such as chewing and speaking. Missing teeth can also bring about the loss of other teeth.

Partial dentures are able to better maintain the bone structure of your face. This is why any problems you have with missing teeth should not be neglected.

At Embry Hills Dental Care, Dr. John Robinson is dedicated to the overall dental health of all his patients. Dr. Robinson can educate you on a variety of solutions to address missing teeth. One of the dental treatments offered at Embry Hills Dental Care is partial dentures.

Dr. John Robinson can help you make an informed choice about replacing missing teeth. Please contact us to set up a consultation today by calling: 770.939.7167.

Considering Partial Dentures

There are situations where full dentures are the best option for you. To determine this, Dr. Robinson will assess the condition of your teeth and jaw to determine which option is right for your situation.

What Are

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures fill the gap where teeth are absent and are normally used in situations where one or more natural teeth are still intact. Partial dentures come in two types: removable and permanently attached (fixed). In a fixed partial denture, dental crowns or artificial teeth are bonded directly to the abutment teeth, and only a dental professional can remove it. A removable partial denture, on the other hand, is only attached to the teeth with precision attachments or metal clasps and can be taken out and cleaned any time.

Unlike full dentures, which is ideal for people who no longer have any teeth in their upper and/or lower jaw, a partial denture can be used if you are only missing a small number of teeth. They are also much easier to use, clean, and maintain due to the better fit.
